Legendary race course in Barcelona

Barcelona is firmly scheduled as the seventh stage of the UCI Mountain Bike Eliminator World Cup on October 11, 2025. For corratec, three favorites, Simon Gegenheimer, Titouan Perrin-Ganier and Marion Fromberger, will once again be at the start - two extremely experienced athletes who have been among the top performers in the Eliminator format for years.

A look back at the 2024 race in Barcelona shows just how challenging and high-class the event is. In the men's race, Frenchman Lorenzo Serres celebrated victory in a close final, which he won against strong competition such as Nils-Obed Riecker and Titouan Perrin-Ganier. On the women's side, Gaia Tormena from Italy dominated the race and also took the overall lead in the World Cup series. For this year, the MTB Racing Team once again has a clear goal on their Revo Bows: to stand on the podium in Barcelona.

Track analysis for Barcelona

The course on Montjuïc in the Parc de Montjuïc around the Palau Nacional and the Font Màgica is one of the most iconic courses on the Eliminator circuit. The famous steep steps and stone ramps directly in front of the palace make for spectacular descents. Technical passages alternate with fast asphalt sections and tight bends. The circuit was extended slightly in 2024 to create additional overtaking opportunities and greater dynamics - a perfect stage where experience, driving technique and tactics are in equal demand.

Barcelona will therefore be the venue for an eagerly awaited finale on European soil in 2025. The combination of a renowned circuit, an enthusiastic crowd and top international drivers will make the race a real highlight of the season.

A look at the race calendar

Barcelona will be followed by the eighth and final round of the Eliminator World Cup in Chennai, India, on October 19, 2025 - a first for the XCE format since 2022. The athletes can expect tropical conditions with average temperatures of around 30°C and a new, beachside course that has been included in the World Cup program for the first time. Chennai thus offers a contrast to the urban European final lap - hot, challenging and trend-setting for the overall standings.
