After 14 years, Roland Stauder, a former mountain bike pro with an impressive career, is returning to corratec. During his active time in the corratec World Team, Stauder achieved numerous victories and podium finishes and became overall winner of the UCI MTB Marathon World Series. His return marks a significant comeback for the brand and the mountain bike community.
The story of the Stoneman Trails
After the end of his professional career, Roland Stauder turned to his passion for nature and cycling. He began marking MTB trails in South Tyrol with stone sculptures, the 'Stoanernen Mandln'. This is how the idea of the Stoneman Trails was born. These trails are not only sporting challenges, but also offer a profound experience of nature. Participants have to complete a predetermined route with checkpoints in order to receive a gold, silver or bronze trophy at the end.
The Stoneman Dolomiti: the original adventure
The most famous of the Stoneman trails is the Stoneman Dolomiti, which was launched in 2009 in the Sesto Dolomites. With a distance of 120 km and 4,000 vertical meters, it represents a huge challenge. The 'Ur-Stoneman' is not only known for its athletic demands, but also for the breathtaking natural scenery it traverses. There are also variants for racing cyclists, hikers and children, so there is something for everyone. Currently, over 16,000 bikers have officially completed the Dolomites Stoneman. In total, there are around 50,000 in all six Stoneman trails across Europe. Another Stoneman trail is already in the starting blocks
