UCI MTB Eliminator World Cup Aalen 2025
Aalen will once again be transformed into a vibrant stage for world-class cycling and a festival atmosphere in 2025 - the UCI MTB Eliminator World Cup returns!
A city in race fever: Aalen as the host city
On July 12, 2025, the city center of Aalen will once again be transformed into a big stage for sport, music and summer fun. The UCI MTB Eliminator World Cup will once again make a stop in the Ostalb city - and the event promises to be another unforgettable experience.
Last year's World Cup in Aalen was already a complete success. Over 7,000 spectators lined the narrow streets of the old town, cheered on the athletes and celebrated into the night. The media response was consistently positive - sports editors spoke of the "showcase event" and particularly praised the successful combination of top international sport and local anchoring.
The Eliminator format: pure excitement in a confined space
The focus is on the Eliminator format - a spectacular mountain bike sprint in which four riders start at the same time on a compact circuit. Stairs, bends, cobblestones, narrow alleyways: The urban backdrop brings action at the highest level.
The races are short, intense and characterized by tactical finesse - the perfect format for spectators to get up close and personal.
Focus on top German athletes: Simon Gegenheimer and Marion Fromberger
There will be a special focus on two top German riders who are sure to thrill the audience: Simon Gegenheimer and Marion Fromberger, both part of the corratec team, will also be competing in Aalen in 2025.
Gegenheimer, who comes from the region and is one of the best sprinters in the world as a multiple World Cup winner, enjoys a home advantage - and is celebrated not only for his athletic class, but also for his approachability. Marion Fromberger is one of the fastest women on the Eliminator circuit. With technique, speed and fighting spirit, she has earned herself a permanent place among the world's elite - and in Aalen she wants to be on the podium again.

Festival feeling: live music and street food for everyone
But the World Cup in Aalen is much more than just a sporting event. In the evening, a very special musical highlight will bring a festival atmosphere to the Rathausplatz: Michael Schulte will be performing live. The singer-songwriter, known from "The Voice of Germany" and the Eurovision Song Contest, will give you goosebumps with his soulful voice and his hits - free of charge and in the open air.
An exciting supporting program: activities for the whole family
In addition to the sporting and musical program, visitors can look forward to a supporting program that leaves nothing to be desired. A bike expo, food trucks, a children's course, hands-on activities, DJs and an after-race party round off the day.
If you don't want to choose between a sporting event and a summer festival, you can have both in Aalen - and admission is free.
